All about EV charging
The infrastructure investment & jobs act accelerates the build-out of EV charging stations. Learn more about the funding, makers, and energy consumption of EV chargers.
$5 Billion for EV Chargers
USDOT and USDOE announce that $5 Billion will be available to states over the next five years for a national EV charging network. In addition, under the new National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program established by the new Infrastructure Law, the US government will support the buildout of the electric vehicle charging network to make electric vehicle charging more available across the country.
PTC Heating Electric Vehicles
This article explains the use of PTC heating in electric vehicles. PTC heating is a very efficient, durable, and safe method for supplemental heating.
EV Battery Capacity Drives Automotive Industry
Thermal Management of Battery Systems will Remain Essential.
The creation of power creates heat. Therefore, battery systems will need cooling systems. In addition, regardless of the type of battery to date, batteries need heat to protect them from cold temperatures.
Interior cabins also need thermal management that often can be supplied by the high voltage and current battery systems that run the motors and drive trains. Heat-pumps, PTC heater, and Peltier thermoelectric cooling systems run on conventional voltages will remain necessary for creature comforts.
Cold Weather and Car Batteries
You can't escape winter, even in your car. The average annual cost to own a vehicle is $10,742. Most of that cost comes from maintenance, which can skyrocket in the winter months.
Many people know that cold weather damages their cars. But few people know about how cold weather and car batteries relate to each other. Do you check your car battery in the winter?
How exactly does the winter weather affect car batteries? What are some tools you can use to keep your batteries warm? What is good car advice you can follow to keep your car from damage during the winter?
Answer these questions and you can keep the cold temperatures from freezing up your battery. Here is your quick guide.
