Flexible Heaters are thin and lightweight surface heaters for precise heating of solid bodies. They consist of wire wound elements and a flexible material such as Silicone or Kapton foil. Flexible heaters come in various shapes such as Wire wound heaters, Etched foil heaters, Foam insulation heaters, Preformed heaters, Spiral heaters and Kapton heaters.

Wire Wound Heaters
Heaters that are constructed using wire wound elements are ideal for customers looking to purchase in lower volumes. This particular construction is optimal for heaters that will be handled frequently, as opposed to being fixed or static. This type of heater can be heavily customised to suit a wide variety of applications.

Connecting your heater:

DBK will make the heater with a wire harness to suit your needs. Tell us what length you require, specifying with connectors, terminations or bare ends.
Controlling your heater:
- If required, safety thermostats, cycling thermostats and NTC thermistors can easily be accommodated into your design.

KAPTON HEATERS
Kapton (polyimide) is a thin, flexible and semi-transparent material that is ideally suited for applications that require a fast and efficient thermal transfer. Due to the resilient nature of the material, these heaters are suitable in environments that require chemical resistance with zero outgassing. This type of heater can be heavily customised to suit a wide variety of applications.

SPIRAL HEATERS

PREFORMED HEATERS
Silicone heaters can be pre-formed to suit a wide variety of pipework and vessels. These heaters will hold their shape without fixings in certain applications. We can also supply with separate fixings for more dynamic or sensitive applications. This type of heater can be heavily customised to suit a wide variety of applications

FOAM INSULATION HEATERS
Insulation foam as an additional option with our silicone heaters. It provides and inbuilt highly efficient thermal insulation to help reduce heat loss in the application. We also offer separate shaped insulation foam to suit ‘T’ sections, flanges, valves and pipes.
