 Custom Heating & Cooling Solutions

…are our passion. We have been designing, developing and manufacturing electrical heating and cooling solutions for industrial applications for more than 75 years. During this time, we have built numerous individual solutions for customers with highest demands and a wide variety of applications - from modified standards to patented new developments. In doing so, we remain flexible and make use of all available technologies.

PTC Heating Technology

PTC heating technology is characterized by its dynamic and self-regulating heating elements, suited for the smallest installation spaces. PTC heating elements are ceramic-based components, contacted and pressed into aluminum profiles. They can be used in all kinds of applications, ranging from selective heating of valves to indirect heating of liquids and homogeneous heating of air flows. Thanks to their self-regulating characteristic, PTC elements cannot overheat as their resistance increases with rising temperature.

Wire Heating Technology

Wire heating elements use “traditional” heating wire as their heat source. If a current flows through the wire, it heats up due to its electrical resistance. Wire heating elements come in a variety of shapes - from tubular heating elements to solid aluminum heating plates and air heaters with open coil technology. They are suited for applications requiring high power, high temperatures or large-surface heating. This is why they are often used in presses, compressors, industrial printers or medical equipment. High power output, easy temperature regulation, and high design flexibility are only some of the advantages of resistance wire heaters.

Peltier Cooling Technology

The so-called Peltier effect was discovered in 1934 by the physicist Jean Peltier, who was the first to generate cold using electric current. By applying DC voltage to differently doped semiconductors, heat is transported from the negatively charged side to the positively charged side. A Peltier Thermoelectric Cooler thus has a warm and a cold side, which can be exchanged by simply reversing the direction of the current. The biggest advantage of Peltier Thermoelectric Coolers compared to conventional cooling systems is that they do not require any coolant nor mechanical components and can therefore be used in any installation position, under extreme ambient conditions, and in the smallest of spaces.

5 steps to a custom product

1.

Catalogue of requirements. We’ll start with asking some questions to define basic technical data for the desired heating / cooling system in the specific application.

2.

Technical design and calculations. Based on this key data, our engineers will calculate the required heating / cooling output and develop one or more solution concepts.

3.

Prototyping. After several feedback loops with the customer, the final prototype will go into prototype construction.

4.

Validation and tests. Depending on the customer requirements, the prototype will undergo several laboratory tests and/or application tests to validate functions and identify potential improvements.

5.

Start of production. After successful testing and approval by the customer, the production line will be set up and the finished product will go into serial production.

 All-round engineering service

We support our customers from the specification, through the entire project journey, to the finished product. We are always thrilled when our ideas come to life. Thanks to our own prototype construction, tool construction and laboratory, we can turn 3D models into prototypes in no time at all.

Development Partner

We are our customers’ development partner when it comes to controlling the temperature of liquids, solids, gases, air flows and cabinets. The product will be designed based on our customer's application, not the other way around. We will check all available heating & cooling technologies and always recommend the best technical and most economical solution. From modified standards to patented new developments - we are your partner for your heating and cooling challenges.

Safety and reliability

High temperatures, voltage and power peaks are no rarity in industrial applications. We always consider safety right from the start and ensure the highest quality and reliability of our heating & cooling solutions. As a result, almost all of our PTC heaters are designed in protection class II, so that no additional grounding is required for electrical insulation. Wire heating solutions are usually equipped with integrated protective features such as overheating protection. Many of our solutions are VDE or UL approved by default, or will be approved in cooperation with our customers, tailored to their individual needs.
